Andrea Kittrell, MD, FACS
Dr. Andrea E. Kittrell, founder of the Save Other Souls project, is an Otolaryngologist/Head & Neck Surgeon (ENT) in Lynchburg, Virginia. Dr. Kittrell did her undergraduate work at Duke University where she majored in chemistry with biological specialization. She graduated from Wake Forest University (Bowman Gray) School of Medicine and completed her residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Kittrell opened her private ENT practice, Head & Neck Surgery of Central Virginia, PC, in August 2009, after practicing her specialty in Lynchburg for the prior decade. Dr. Kittrell is Board Certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. She has two decades of experience specializing in the medical and surgical management of head and neck disorders and has a particular interest in the management of feeding difficulties for tongue- and lip-tied infants and their parents.
The Hon. Michael A. Gillette, Ph.D.
Dr. Michael Gillette is an ethicist who has presented numerous keynotes and workshops nationally and internationally for over 25 years. Through his consulting business, Bioethical Services of Virginia, Inc., he contracts with dozens of healthcare organizations and other agencies to provide ethics education, case consultations, and policy work.
Dr. Gillette graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University with majors in philosophy and classical Greek, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his master’s and Ph.D. in philosophy at Brown University. He has taught at colleges and universities, receiving tenure at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, published articles in the field of applied ethics, and received several teaching awards. He was elected three times to the City Council in Lynchburg, Virginia, and served two terms as Mayor of the City.
Dr. Gillette’s wide range of clients include healthcare organizations, social service agencies, long term care communities, and state, local and county governments and agencies.
